What is squeeze page and How to make one
By Eduardas Kubilinskas on May 26, 2010 in Web Development
Squeeze page is a web tool to attract and capture your clients information.
Basically, it is usually one page site that promises something in exchange for viewers personal information, like name and email usually.
Squeeze pages can be different some may have:
a) Video on it to communicate the message
b) sales letter on it to sell the “secret or promise” in exchange for personal info
Main elements of a squeeze page:
1. Headline.
- Must be big and bold to attract attention!
- Must communicate strong benefit to your target market. So after they read it, they are compelled to read more or watch your video
Examples: Watch this FREE 50 second video that reveals #1 secret on creating superb squeeze page
2. Video or sales letter
- Video Keep it short, get to the point, tell them after they input their info they will find out about the secret.
- sales letter – do what you have to do short long promise they will get it after they put their info in
3. Use bullet points
4. Call to Action – ALWAYS always have call to action. And I don’t even care if you apply this in other areas of life. Letting people know what you want them to do is vital. Be specific, give options. And tell them what you want them to do. its part of the leadership.
5. Opt -in form. its a little window you may have seen on other pages, where you put in your name and email to proceed.
6. Use a Bribe (or a bait) in exchange for personal info. Examples: Free report on how to do so and so.; free video on how to get rid of the problem, Free CD on how to get more money, etc. whatever you can think of.
PART 2
after they do put in their information.
you must give them what you promised. if its a video. give it to them and reveal your secret. Give them what you promised.
Then upsell them on something else.
Offer another thing with even more information. or sell them one of your products. or offer something else.
Remember the purpose of squeeze page is to capture their information. So you can contact them later.
