If you think you going to publish your beautiful website, forget about it and still rank high, you might be right.

the truth is, there is no right way to do it. there are flash sites online that technically do not have any content and they still rank very high in search engines.

because ranking depends on many more things than just fresh and updated content.

On the other hand, I dont see why having daily updated content wouldnt help you. If you took two sites, with exactly same links and one would not have updated content and the other would, Im guessing the latter would rank higher.

It makes sense. thinking from googles perspective. Google‘s job is to provide timely and as close to exact content that people are searching for. therefore if site is being updated daily or at least often, I dont see why google wouldn’t rank it higher over some rusty site.

So of course do it. do it often, do it as often as you can. I dont think it can hurt anyone. Your customers will be happy if you have fresh content, google will grade your site as -updated often, and you will feel better too about having new stuff on your site.
